How does the matching work?
Each AF beer has a taste profile I've built from actually drinking them. When you pick your regular beers, I know roughly what taste profile you like - bitterness, maltiness, hop character, body, sweetness. Then I find the AF beers with the closest match. It's not perfect but it's better than "try this, it says IPA on the label."
Why should I trust your taste?
You shouldn't, entirely. I'm one bloke from up North who's tried about 40 AF beers in the last year. But I drink real beer too, so I know what "tastes like beer" actually means. Most AF beer reviews are written by people who haven't had a proper pint since 2019.
What if my match is rubbish?
Possible. Taste is subjective and AF beer is still catching up. But the top picks here are genuinely good beers, not just "least bad" options. If the match doesn't work, try the tier list for a broader view.
